Kitchen & Bath Renovation in Greater Baltimore, Carroll & Frederick County

From cosmetic refreshes to complete remodels — planned with you, priced in writing, and built by an MHIC-licensed team.

Kitchen and bath renovations, planned and built by one team.

Kitchens and bathrooms are the hardest-working rooms in your home — and the ones that most affect how it feels to live there. They’re also where a remodel can go sideways fastest when nobody’s steering. DACS Painting & Home Renovation plans your project with you, gives you a detailed written price, coordinates every trade, and finishes the job with the same attention to detail we’re known for in painting.

Whether you want a cosmetic refresh that makes a dated kitchen feel new or a full gut-and-rebuild of a primary bath, we’ll help you find the scope that fits your goals and your budget.

Kitchen renovation

Not every great kitchen requires moving walls. Many of our favorite projects keep the existing layout and focus on the surfaces you see and touch every day — which keeps cost and downtime under control.

Cabinets

New cabinet installation, cabinet refacing, or professionally painted existing cabinets with new hardware.

Countertops & backsplash

Quartz, granite and solid-surface counters paired with tile backsplashes installed with clean, level grout lines.

Sinks, faucets & fixtures

Undermount sinks, new faucets, disposals and updated plumbing fixtures, with licensed trades where required.

Lighting, paint & flooring

Under-cabinet and pendant lighting, fresh paint and new floors to tie the whole room together.

Renovated kitchen with new cabinets and countertops

Bathroom renovation

From a powder room refresh to a spa-style primary bath, we build bathrooms that look great and stand up to daily moisture. That means proper waterproofing behind the tile, good ventilation, and fixtures installed to last.

Tub-to-shower conversions

Replace an old tub with a walk-in tile shower — with glass enclosures, niches and benches available.

Tile showers & surrounds

Waterproofed shower walls and pans, finished in ceramic, porcelain or stone tile.

Vanities & storage

New vanities, tops, mirrors, medicine cabinets and linen storage that make better use of the space.

Safety & accessibility

Grab bars, low-threshold showers, comfort-height toilets and slip-resistant flooring for aging in place.

Why hiring an MHIC-licensed contractor matters

In Maryland, anyone who performs home improvement work for homeowners must be licensed by the Maryland Home Improvement Commission. Licensed contractors must meet state requirements, carry liability insurance, and use written contracts — and homeowners who hire a licensed contractor may be eligible for the state’s Home Improvement Guaranty Fund if something goes wrong. DACS holds MHIC License #140219, and you can verify any contractor’s license through the Maryland Department of Labor.

One contractor for the whole project

Because DACS does painting, renovation and flooring, your kitchen or bath doesn’t sit half-finished waiting on another company. We schedule each phase in the right order — demolition, rough-in, drywall, tile, cabinets, counters, paint, then floors and trim — and you have one point of contact from start to finish.

FAQ

Renovation questions, answered.

It depends almost entirely on scope and materials. A cosmetic bath refresh and a full primary-bath remodel can differ by tens of thousands of dollars, and the same is true for kitchens. The fastest way to an accurate number is a free in-home estimate — we’ll price options side by side so you can choose what fits.

Most full bathroom remodels take about one to three weeks of on-site work once materials are in hand. Tub-to-shower conversions and smaller refreshes are often faster. Custom vanities, glass and special-order tile can add lead time before work begins.

Often, yes — especially when plumbing, electrical or structural work is involved. Requirements vary by county and municipality. We’ll identify what your project needs and handle the permitting process as part of the job.

For refresh projects, usually for most of the job. For full remodels the kitchen will be out of service during construction, and we’ll help you plan a temporary setup — often a microwave, coffee maker and fridge in another room.

Yes. We’ll walk you through cabinet styles, countertop and tile options, fixtures and paint colors, and point you to suppliers where you can see materials in person.
